With passion, expertise and an innovative mindset, we provide our global customers with the best overall experience, and our technologies help enable the sustainable mine of the future.Your missionAs Vice President of Sales for Sales Area USA, you're accountable for performance and results, as well as for the planning, resourcing and attainment of overall revenue development for our divisions. You lead the development of sales and service strategies and review and advise on policies (including pricing and product mix). As a member of Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions' extended management team, you take an active part in setting the strategic direction, executing the strategy and assisting in driving our overall efficiency and performance through cross-functional collaboration.Your key responsibilities include:
    • Developing sales area strategy and execution plans together with the respective Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions' divisions - taking the overall responsibility for the execution.
    • Leading and developing customer relationships through direct base and distributors and coordinating business development across multiple divisions and securing must-win deals.
    • Creating a customer-oriented and agile organization with strong performance management.
    • Leading the sales area management team, reviewing and monitoring sales and service performance and refining strategies as required.
    • Managing, motivating and influencing teams in line with business needs and ensuring that the organization attracts, retains and develops exceptional people in all areas.
    • Ensuring compliance with safety policies and applicable government, industry and customer regulations and requirements.Your characterWe're looking for a sales executive with highly developed leadership skills that inspire, mentor and manage people to perform at their very best. You enjoy leading from the front by example, and you are eager to engage hands-on with your team, organization and the customer, while supporting and developing your team. You have a proven ability to lead in a matrix organization, with and without solid reporting lines, and with multiple stakeholders. You also have excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to negotiate at a senior level.To be an ideal candidate for this position you have:
      • Experience in the mining and construction industries: knowledge of industry operations, dynamics and key players is an advantage.
      • Experience of leading a large sales and service line organization, preferably in a B2B environment.
      • Experience of leading and developing key customer relationships and coordinating business development across multiple divisions.
      • A proven track record of leading cultural change within a sales function across a large matrix organization.
      • Extensive experience of sales leadership at a senior management level.
      • Financial awareness and understanding of impact on the business, for example the importance of cost control and maximization of profit potential.
      • Strategic planning and operational experience, together with an in-depth understanding of compliance matters.
      • A university degree in a relevant field.
