Reports to: CEO/Director of Business Development Schedule/Type: FT - SalaryWage: $105,000-160,000 per year commensurate with experienceBonus Eligibility: YesRequirements:Leadership/Management:

  • Develop an efficient organizational structure for optimal patient care.
  • Oversee policy development, compliance, and educational efforts for nursing/clinical staff.
  • Stay abreast of professional issues impacting healthcare at local, state, and national levels.Clinical:
    • Directs and supervises all areas of the Centre' clinical care
    • Keeps administration informed of clinical activities
    • Oversees development and medications of clinical programs and patient care activities.
    • Establish, maintain, analyze, and evaluate standards of nursing care to maintain compliance with professional standards and recommend perioperative practices to ensure patient satisfaction and efficiency of services in a timely manner.
    • Act as staff and or charge nurse as necessary to fill in in times of staff shortage
    • Coordinates with Anesthesia providers for case coverage.
    • Ability to evaluate and correlate clinical data with patient careBusiness:
      • Play a vital role in budgeting processes and cost control efforts.
      • Oversee materials management, inventory, and contribute to facility marketing initiatives.
      • Make recommendations for medical supplies and equipment purchases to the administrator based on the needs of the Centre and evaluation of new products and services.Human Resources:
        • Carry out supervisory responsibilities, including interviewing, hiring, training and evaluation of clinical employees, supporting staff development and fostering positive relationships.
        • Ensure compliance with HR policies, conduct performance evaluations, and facilitate staffing plans.Quality of Care and Patient Rights:
          • Ensure high-quality care services in adherence to professional principles and ethical conduct.
          • Investigate and address patient complaints, maintaining privacy and confidentiality.
          • Identify areas, which require additional reinforcement through education, consultation, or practicum.Quality Improvement:
            • Drive accreditation and quality improvement activities, overseeing incident reporting and infection control.
            • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and contribute to ongoing accreditation programs.
            • Oversees and participates on QAPI and MAC Committee and serves as quality improvement coordinator to facilitate quality improvement activities under the direction of the administration and the Quality Improvement Committee.
            • Responsible for ongoing accreditation programs including but not limited to : QI, RM, IC and facility and fire safety.
            • Maintains Knowledge of and understand regulatory requirements of:
            • Federal ASC Conditions of coverage
            • AAAHC Standards
            • State of Colorado ASC and CC standardsFacilities and Environment:
              • Assist in ensuring a safe and sanitary environment, including emergency preparedness.
              • Provide training to employees for organized response to emergency situations.Communications and Teamwork:
                • Demonstrate effective communication and transparency with staff, physicians, and vendors.
                • Foster teamwork through collaboration, open communication, and conflict resolution.
                • Recognizes privileged and protected information and applies discretion and confidentiality.Other Duties:Embrace various responsibilities as assigned to contribute to the overall success of the organization.

                  Requirements:Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science degree required; MSN preferred or master's in business, health administration or other related field. Current license as a Colorado registered nurse. Current certification in BLS and ACLS. The knowledge, skills and abilities of a staff nurse are required for this position including the maintenance of specialty certification in either perioperative nursing, CNOR or in a paranesthesia nursing, CAPA or CPAN.
                  Experience: Minimum of ten years in perioperative setting, with at least five years in ASC supervisory setting.Equipment Operated: Standard office equipment with emphasis on computer hardware and software. Frequent use of nursing and surgical equipment.
                  Work Environment: Ambulatory and convalescent care center. Well-lighted, well-ventilated, adequate space.Physical Requirements: Must be able to use appropriate body mechanics techniques when making necessary patient transfers and helping patients with walking, dressing, etc. Must be able to lift up to 50.
