Senior Director, E-Commerce (Dickies)
JOB TITLE: Senior Director, eCommerce (Dickies Americas)
Location: Denver, CO OR Costa Mesa, CA
Job Summary: Reporting to VP, Commercial Revenue, the Senior
Director of eCommerce will be responsible for driving the Dickies
eCommerce merchandising strategy and execution, day-to-day site
operations, and consumer experience strategy for our eCommerce
business. In this role, you will combine the need for consumer
obsession, innovative thinking, data-based prioritization, and
exceptional relationship management skills to successfully deliver
an impactful brand experience that builds consumer
connectivity.
How You Will Make a Difference:
- Lead the long-term vision of the eCommerce strategy and
consumer experience, leveraging emerging digital shopping
experiences, industry trends, and evolving consumer
expectations.
- Develop overall eCommerce business strategy and direct related
tactical activities with full P&L responsibility for the
e-commerce business unit.
- Collaborate with marketing to present brand and product stories
online in a compelling way that delivers a meaningful brand
experience to the consumer and integrates with other brand channel
messaging.
- Partner cross-functionally on the integration of eCommerce to
develop multi-channel strategies, while increasing brand and
product awareness through eCommerce platform.
- Oversee Performance and Retention channel teams to drive new
customer acquisition, engagement, and customer retention strategies
to maximize the D2C and Marketplace business units while increasing
brand awareness and LTV.
- Develop strategies to deliver financial plans (sales, margin,
contribution, inventory turns) including analyzing sales and
productivity of items/categories to communicate results and create
action plans.
- Partner with Finance, Marketing and Planning Department to
forecast weekly/monthly sales, margins and review financial
rollups.
- Oversee channel development strategies, prioritizing
capabilities and influencing architecture and infrastructure
requirements to fulfill eCommerce business strategy while remaining
current with the latest eCommerce trends and technology.
- Provide guidance for product, UX and development teams in
balancing viable solutions and delivering an elevated customer
experience.
Skills for Success:
- Successful experience and proven track-records with eCommerce,
internet, and web production as well as product marketing and
strategy experience.
- A growth mindset: leveraging past learnings, encouraging new
ideas and smart risk-taking in self and others.
- Experience developing performance metrics.
- Management of Growth and performance channels and budget
management. Proficient in MMM and MROI based models to understand
channel blend and impact.
- Strong strategic and tactical skills, as well as technical
skills to understand the E-Commerce market to create demand and
generate revenues.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills. Ability to
present and lead executive conversations with the Executive
Leadership Team.
- Strong interpersonal, collaboration, project management, and
negotiation skills.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret and
translate data into actionable proposals.
- Strong ability to multi-task and prioritize complex demands of
time and resources.
- Comfortable in changing, fast-paced environments with tight
deadlines.
- Ability to effectively collaborate cross-functionally with
Marketing, Merchandising, Design, Finance, and Supply Chain to
establish and deliver website strategies.
- Ability to attract, hire, coach, and develop teams.
Educational/Position Requirements:
- Years of Related Professional Experience: 12+ years
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field or related discipline with
at least 12 years of experience in eCommerce & site
operations.
- Minimum 10 years of experience leading eCommerce
teams.
- Experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud.
Special Physical and/or Mental Requirements:
- This position will travel, as required, 25% of the time. Some
night and weekend work required.
Hiring Range: $188,800.00 USD - $236,000.00 USD annually
Incentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional
compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan,
sales incentive, or commission potential.
Long-Term Incentive Potential: This position is eligible to
participate in a Long-Term Incentive Plan.
